About the Project
By choosing Satellite locations at Enfield Town Library and Edmonton Mendip House or Green Towers and advertising in Community networks, Sheltered Homes, Older Peoples Clubs, Over 50’s Forum, Libraries, Coffee Shops, Post Office, etc. we will find and bring older people together and help form networks, social groups. They can share time going shopping together, having a coffee/meal or participate in tailored activities like chair-based yoga. We want to support the vulnerable and isolated elderly people in the community, so that they become a part of a network, and are not alone. We will be working with the above to deliver the project, increasing cooperation.
EAWA have received £5275.01 from the members of Co-op.
EAWA are going to top this up with funds raised from the Charity Walk for Peace, which will be paid to EAWA in December 2019.
EAWA will then start work on the set up and delivery of the Social Hub Project.
