Sheltered Homes Tuesdays:
EAWA Social Hub is conducting outreach sessions and providing FREE Activities
in the Communal Areas of chosen Sheltered Homes, for the residents who are isolated & lonely.
EAWA’s Aim is to create a community within these Sheltered Homes so that the residents can get to know each other, socialise and be active too.
Bringing People together at Ringlewell / Norton Close EN1 - Social Hub and the National Lottery
Over the past few months, tenants have taken part in a range of activities designed to bring people together and reduce social isolation. Games such as bingo and dominoes were favourites amongst the tenants.
A recent highlight was a traditional fish and chips lunch, which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for socialising and fostered community connections within the sheltered home. We are grateful to everyone who participated and supported this project.
Seeing the positive impact of these activities has been truly rewarding for EAWA staff. EAWA staff will continue this work in other Sheltered homes as part of this 5 year National Lottery funded project which began on1st April 2024.
